A Vintage Wedding Day with a Modern Touch

On the perfect April day, Jordyn and Andrew gathered their family and friends to watch them embark on their newest adventure: marriage. Everyone met at the very thoughtfully named, Andrew’s Park Amphitheater, and watched the love unfold before their eyes. Teal and light pink were sprinkled throughout their day for the perfect accent to the Spring season.

Jordyn and Andrew didn’t want any of their friends and family to miss out on attending their wedding, so they said their “I do’s ” at a venue that could accommodate everyone: an amphitheater in Norman, Oklahoma. The amphitheater provided the perfect aisle for Jordyn. She got to walk down the stairs to the stage and her gown elegantly flowed behind her. She wore a beautiful ball gown with a sweetheart neckline, sheer cap sleeves, and tiered lace in the skirt. Her presence was announced by two adorable little boys who walked down the aisle before her, carrying a “here comes the bride” sign.

“One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was Andrew’s enthusiastic and loving reaction to seeing his bride for the first time. Every photographer dreams of seeing such a moment,” said Deisy of Deisy Photography. Deisy did a fantastic job capturing every special moment of the day. Like that first kiss as man and wife and the excitement on their faces as they left the ceremony, hand in hand to start their new lives together.

Jordyn gave the reception a vintage feel with modern touches by decorating with an assortment of picture frames, windows and mirrors. Large gold letters of the couple’s initials were not only a cute accent but will look great in their future home. Centerpieces were made with tree branch slices and mason jars filled with white hydrangeas and other greenery.

To keep the reception fun, the couple provided props and photo booth. The backdrop was strips of burlap, ribbon and strings of lights. They even came up with a hashtag for instagram photos so they could see the photos their guests took of the wedding day!

After some cake, dancing and quick wardrobe change, Jordyn and Andrew bid goodbye to their guests and made their getaway to enjoy their honeymoon and start their life together as man and wife.
