Just imagine a mixture of burlap, lace, and little pink roses. Let it sink in…..now open your eyes and take a look at all these items mixed together into a gorgeous Texas wedding that came true for newlyweds Rachel and James.
This wedding was full of unique and thoughtful DIY touches that flowed together beautifully. Held at a private lake house in Ft Worth and with family and friends by their sides, the day went off without a hitch. Caitlin Skinner Photography was standing by to capture every unforgettable moment. Rachel’s gown set the tone for the lace that draped over the entire event with eloquence. Strapless and fitted with an elbow length lace trimmed veil to match, she was stunning. Caitlin stood back quietly and clicked away as the ladies prayed well wishes and happiness over her and her new husband. More lace was combined with burlap and fresh flowers to form the alter the two said their vows under. The reception tables were covered in chocolate brown cloths and burlap runners with lace place settings and precisely wrapped silverware. More of the little pale pink roses were placed in stunning turquoise vases. Handmade chalk board signs were dotted everywhere with cute writing listing the wedding party stars and instructing guests to grab a mug and enjoy the party. Wood whiskey barrels were turned up side down and turned into the cake stands to display the elegant bride’s cake and the Duck Commander/Texas flag groom’s cake.
This wedding would not have been complete with out stunning photos to remember this joyous occasion. Caitlin Skinner performed perfectly in capturing the beauty and detail of the day. She was able to focus on the tiny detail of Rachel’s gorgeous symbol of love given by her new husband tucked into a rose of her bouquet. Romantic and fun photos were snapped away as the two just stood close to each other and soaked in every lovely moment of their special day. These two love birds will be able to look through their albums and bring back to life this special time in their happy lives together.
